Thousands of students walk-out vs. price hikes, crisis

More than 1,000 students walked out of their classes and joined the youth march in Manila calling for the immediate lifting of the VAT, scrapping of the Oil Deregulation Law and P125 wage increase for workers.

Protests also rocked the regions as more than a thousand students in Baguio City walked out from their classes and hundreds of students in Cebu held candle lighting activities. Various protest actions were also launched in Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod and Laguna.
